May 2011 Newsletter

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to the Summer Term. We hope that you have had a good break over Easter.

We are looking forward to a busy term ahead. Please feel free to contribute any ideas to our Ideas for Themes list.

Unfortunately, we are unable to use the hall for our Nursery Session on Thursday, 5th May as it is going to be used as a Polling Station for the forthcoming Elections. We would like to take all the children on an outing to Thrift Farm, Mursley on this day instead of closing the Nursery. Please see the attached letter and consent form for more details.

As of September, Ducklings will be increasing the hourly childcare rate by 50p to £4.50. There has not been an increase in fees since the Setting opened in September 2002, but we have had to take into consideration increases in staff salaries and many other outgoings over this period of time. However, this increase will not affect the funding for the 3 year olds as the fifteen hours free entitlement will stay the same. Therefore, this will only affect the additional two hours that we are open.

As the weather has warmed up please, do not forget to put sun cream on your child before he/she comes to Nursery. Each child will also need to have a sun hat. We will also be holding the Ducklings Sports Day and Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Thursday 21st July at 10.30 am.

Thank you for your continuing support

Kind Regards

Julia Jack and all the Staff
