Dear Parents,
We have now come to the end of the Summer Term and we hope you all have a fun and relaxing holiday.
As we are unable to use the Nash Village Hall on Fridays, as of January 2012 we are planning to open a Thursday and Friday sessions at the Little Horwood Village Hall in the Recreational Ground which is situated a few miles away. The setting will be called Ducklings 2 and the hours will be 9.15 am to 2.15 pmon Thursdays with a hot lunch provided and 9.15 to 1.15 pm on Fridays.  Next term we are planning a Coffee Morning on 9th September at9.30 am to 11.00 am at the new setting to show everyone around.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you as of September, Ducklings will be increasing the hourly childcare rate by 50p to ÂŁ4.50. There has not been an increase in fees since the Setting opened in September 2002 but we have had to take into consideration increases in staff salaries and many other outgoings over this period of time. However, this increase will not affect the funding for the 3 year olds as the fifteen hours fee entitlement will stay the same. Therefore, this will only affect the additional two hours that we are open for the over 3 year olds.
I would also like to remind everyone that we have a child at Ducklings Montessori Nursery who as a severe nut and seed allergy and therefore we would appreciate your support in making sure that your child’s lunch boxes do not contain any loose nuts or seeds and sandwiches which may contain peanut butter or Nuttela spread.
Finally, I am attaching a copy of the term dates for the next school year, September 2011 to July 2012.
We shall look forward to seeing you all in September and thank you for your continuing support.
Kind Regards
Julia JackÂ
